Discovery Elementary

Discovery Elementary resides on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish People.  Our community is grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and play on these beautiful lands.  Discovery is nestled in a rural area, offering education from Kindergarten to Grade 7 to over 400 students.  Situated near Shawnigan Lake, and surrounded by vast forest and swamp areas, Discovery provides ample learning opportunities for outdoor exploration and play. An important characteristic of this school community is its strong and collaborative staff, known for their fun-loving and collegial atmosphere. Discovery also offers an Out-of-School care program to accommodate the needs of many of our working families. 

Pep rallies and school events are a highlight of life at Discovery, fostering school community, school spirit, and camaraderie between students and staff.  Our PAC events, our Winter Concert, and our Spring Variety show offered further opportunities for our community to come together with community spirit.
